BIKE TRAILS

A five-mile bike trail takes you on an easy ride through the forest of Newport News Park. This is a delightful and healthy exercise any time of the year. Bikes are available to rent at the ranger station in the Park, or bring your own. A shorter bike trail connects the Richneck and Windsor Great Park neighborhoods. There are urban bike trails running through the Villages of Kiln Creek, Patrick Henry CommerCenter and the Oyster Point business park. The City has several bikeway projects under design and development that are funded by $2.5 million from the federal Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Improvement Program.
