RADIO+TELEVISION

Newport News residents enjoy a full spectrum of broadcast choices--eight television stations, 26 FM radio stations and eight AM radio stations. More significantly, WHRO, the region’s public broadcaster, operates a public televisions station and two public radio stations—one with an all classical format and the other with a mix of news, information, jazz, folk and alternative popular music.
