The Virginia Symphony plays more than 140 classical and pops concerts annually. Based in the acoustically perfect Chrysler Hall, the symphony plays lighter fare at the Virginia Beach Pavilion. The symphony also has a full schedule on the Virginia Peninsula in Newport News and Williamsburg. Any concert is just a short drive away and the symphony maintains a year-round schedule. The Virginia Chorale offers a diverse season of vocal entertainment, from Gershwin to Mozart, from motets to show music. The Norfolk Chamber Consort and other chamber groups perform widely throughout the area. University music programs provide performance venues for solo artists and chamber ensembles.
