CLIMATE IN NEWPORT NEWS, VIRGINIA

Newport News is blessed with a temperate, four-season climate. Mild winters, long springs and falls, and summers filled with sunshine allow year-round outdoor enjoyment. Being mid-way along the Atlantic Coast, Newport News has some of nearly every weather condition, without experiencing too much of any weather pattern. In winter, we have snow--but only some years. Some days have freezing temperatures, but it could be 65 degrees in the middle of winter. There will be some ninety degree days in the summer, but most days are in the pleasant 80s. All this translates into lots of opportunity for golf, boating and picnics and hardly any missed work time due to weather.
